World of Warcraft: Forever (My Home)
So, they announced Classic+ and it’s more akin to World of Warcraft 2 than a new Classic version. That said, it is everything we wanted from Classic+, a few things we didnt — the Skyborne, as Windshaper for Horde and High Order for Alliance (but, of course I am all-in for the Skyborne), and a lot of updates to the graphics while staying true to the Vanilla theming.
I am so much more excited for this release (November 4, 2026) than I have been for other games in the recent past. I have been ok but not fully on-board with The Burning Crusade Anniversary, mainly because it stopped exciting me a while ago, and evidently that happened for many others as the guild I was with stopped raiding suddenly last week.
I was OK with that decision.
But Forever has rekindled the excitement I was feeling with Ashes of Creation. That excitement is tempered by the fact that it is still World of Warcraft, but the hope is that the new direction, the evergreen style and new content, will keep me interested for years. This is not the WoW of 2025, or even 2010, and I am keen to get in and play as much as I can.

I will, of course, be playing my tried-and-true Shaman-Priest-Paladin trifecta, in that order, but the specs I will be playing may change depending on where the class revamps go and what faction my main guild will go with. A Tanking Enhance Shaman would be my primary character should that become viable, with Elemental being my go-to should tanking not be a viable end-game setup. After that, Discipline DPS priest if that is viable or Healing Disc if not, and a Protection Paladin as my third class no matter what. I can say that I will (likely) be playing in two guilds in Forever — one Horde and one Alliance.
And with that said, Forever will be the first version of WoW where I will play, actively, more of the classes available to max level. I did play a Pandaren Windwalker Monk in Pandaria and a Dracthyr Preservation Evoker in Dragonflight (and raided on both), but I have always shied away from the other classes. In Forever, that will change. I will get at least one of every class to max level on both alliance and horde. That means I will play my detested Dwarf Shaman, and even the ever-confusing-to-me Druid twice over.
There’s going to be a lot for me to talk about moving forward, both in terms of Forever-specific content and historical experiences with the game.
