WoW Raiding Ended

I have decided, after much thought and consideration, that I will be leaving World of Warcraft end-game raiding. This means I will no longer be raiding in WoW, at least for the foreseeable future. It does not mean that I will be done playing WoW entirely. I will still play WoW, but I will not be focusing my time in-game on raiding, or on achieving raiding capability. There are some things I can continue doing, and I might return to WoW after Cataclysm, but for now I do not believe that will be happening.

This also means that when I do play WoW, it will likely be for solo or 5 man content, maybe 10-mans. It will be very unlikely that I am involved in 25-man content in the near future, though if I am, I will broadcast it as always.

EoI is My Home in WoW

My home will continue to be Edge of Insanity, and though I will not be raiding, I anticipate that I will be playing with them occasionally in the future. They are great people, fun to play with, and extremely good at keeping things in perspective. I suggest them if you are looking for a good World of Warcraft guild, either now or in the future.

Starcraft II is coming

Starcraft has always been the game that brought me the most enjoyment. I began online gaming with Half-Life, and shortly after that Counter-Strike, but once I got into Starcraft, it became my passion for years. I found myself playing it off and on until even as recently as a year ago. When Starcraft 2 is released, I fully expect to jump into that game with as much fervor as I have had for WoW over the past 3 years.

This is not to say that Starcraft 2 will be the only game I play, but it might succeed in being the only game I stream 90% of the time. I am looking at some other games as well, including Diablo 3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Eve Online movies

Iam in a corp and alliance in Eve Online currently. I cannot and will not live-broadcast Eve gaming, though I may try to Fraps it or something. The problem with Fraps at the moment is that it captures the active window, and I have three clients that I will be running shortly, with two running already. This can cause issues when switching between the clients while running Fraps, so we will have to see how we can accomplish this effectively.

What about Justin.tv/Catreina?

What does this mean for CatreinaTV? The YouTube channel will start getting more videos I believe, given time. The Justin.TV channel will be active when I am playing Starcraft 2 and other games that do not require communication silence (such as Eve). My channels should become more professional as well, Catreina.com is the first step to doing so.

The TL;DR version please!

What this all means is that I will be doing less WoW, absolutely no Eve, and more Starcraft 2 broadcasting. Especially after retail release of the game.
